Keto Sausage Salad 3 Ways (Oktoberfest approved)
Celebrate Oktober with a delicious trio of German-inspired Wurst salads—perfect for keto, ketovore, and low-carb lifestyles!
In this video, I share 3 easy sausage salad recipes:
Classic Wurstsalat with pickles and vinegar
Swiss-style with creamy cheese
Fleischsalat with mayo and mustard
These are quick to make, hearty, full of flavor, and ideal for parties, meal prep, or cozy fall dinners. Plus, I’ll show you how to pair them with my favorite cheesy chaffles!
Oma’s Wurst Salad
1 pound smoked sausage or mortadella or Kielbasa
2 large pickles
½ onion
3 tbsp white vinegar
4 tbsp olive oil
Salt, pepper
Fresh parsley
Skin and cut sausage in thin strips (julienned). Dice pickles, cut onion into half rings.
Put sausage, onion and pickles in bowl and mix gently. Make the salad dressing, pour over salad and mix. Sprinkle with parsley and refrigerate for an hour in the fridge before serving.
Make is a Swiss Sausage Salad:
To the above, add about 8 oz. of Swiss cheese, cut in julienne.
Fleischsalat
Fleisch means meat, but it’s sausage. Wurst is Wurst is Wurst is German 😊

5 tbsp mayonnaise
1 mustard
Salt, pepper to taste
Skin and cut sausage in thin strips (julienned). Dice pickles. Mix together and add mayo and mustard. Add salt and pepper to taste. Refrigerate for an hour before serving.
