Suspicious Person Call Leads to Deadly Shooting in Anaheim

On September 15, 2025, at approximately p.m., an Anaheim Police officer responded to the area of Holly St and Falmouth Ave regarding a person who was acting suspiciously, possibly under the influence of drugs, and carrying a brick. Updated information in the call indicated the person also had a shovel. When the officer arrived and encountered the subject, an officer-involved shooting occurred. The subject was struck by gunfire, at which point the officer began to render first aid. The subject was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced deceased approximately 30 minutes after arrival. A shovel was recovered at the scene. The officer was not injured during this incident.
