Opening Of The Lost Tombs: The Tomb of Osiris (original FULL program of Osiris shaft reveal)

"Live" coverage of The Opening Of The Lost Tombs on Egypt's Giza Plateau, originally aired March 2nd 1999. Features the opening of the "Pyramid of Queen", a sealed "Tomb of the Unknown", and most importantly, the supposed "Tomb of Osiris". Featuring Maury Povich and Zahi Hawass.

Although follow ups were promised, nothing has been revealed about the "Tomb of Osiris" since the airing of this program. No one seems to be sure where the 4 pillars with hieroglyphs are, or if any further excavations have been done in the other passageways that were discovered.

The Osiris shaft is available for visitation with private permission, but any point of interest or artifacts that may have been there have been removed.

Although this "live" production is obviously staged, it is important because it is one of the only times this incredible find is discussed to the broad public.
