US government shutdown: Local businesses in Washington DC face uncertainty

A dispute over healthcare funding between Republicans and Democrats in the US Congress has caused much of the federal government to shutdown, or forced remaining workers to go without pay. With hundreds of thousands of government workers on furlough and no end in sight, the government shutdown is taking its toll on Washington, DC, businesses.
