As time allows, we’re continuing our series of relocation interviews. We speak directly with some of the folks who have decided to vote with their feet and make the DR their home, aiming to share the good, the bad, and the truth. In this segment, we introduce Rob from the city of brotherly love, Philadelphia. As you’ll see in the video, he refers to himself as “a simple guy.” I’m not entirely sure about that; however, what started as a client has evolved into a genuine friendship. Both Liane and I are very fond of Rob and his better half. One of the best outcomes of this project is the friendships formed with some expats. As many nations face a downward spiral, it’s humbling to know that Liane and I have helped many achieve a better, safer, and higher quality of life. As my father taught me long ago, you’ll never see eye to eye with everyone… if you do, then you just don’t know enough people. Yes, close-mindedness is more rampant than ever, and many divides are beyond reconciliation. Still, another lesson my father taught me holds true today: your time is the greatest gift you can give someone. With that in mind, Liane and I are comfortable.
