Boulder Valley, Montana.
There were ongoing aurora as evening fell on October 1st, the third night in a row for strong geostorming. Of course we had lingering clouds in the sky, more moving in, and bright moonlight changed the character of the colors. The moon lit the valley, mountains, and the clouds as they danced with the aurora. Glimpses of color showed as the clouds parted, but they did obscure some of the lower altitude dancing substorm pillars that showed up throughout the night and into the early morning hours of October 2nd. Still a wonderful show, with the bright green auroral oval pulsing, and many multi-colored pillars.

Nightlapse footage captured with a GoPro Hero9, video processed through VideoProc Vlogger software (exposure, contrast and saturation adjusted to compensate for lighting) Time of recording was 8:30pm October 1st through 6:30am October 2nd.
