Indonesia Suspends TikTok for Refusing to Share Protest Data | Vantage on Firstpost

Indonesia has temporarily suspended TikTok’s local operating licence after the app refused to fully share data on its live streaming activity during the nationwide anti-government protests in August. The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs said TikTok provided only partial information despite repeated requests. With over 100 million users, Indonesia is TikTok’s second-largest market. The platform is owned by China’s ByteDance. The duration of the suspension has not been disclosed.
