What if we could be prepared for the future, knowing God has a plan no matter the craziness of the future? In Luke 21, Jesus teaches His disciples to develop 20/20 vision of faith through spiritual situational awareness. Looking back at fulfilled prophecies like Jerusalem's destruction in 70 AD evidences the Scriptures' reliability. Looking forward to the signs Jesus described—distress among nations and His ultimate return—shows us future events will fit God's sovereign timeline.

Pastor Rick encourages us to look up with hope, keeping our hearts anchored in eternity rather than earthly anxieties, and look around with discernment at the signs unfolding today, remaining watchful and prayerful. This passage isn't about fear or setting a date for these events; it's about recognizing God's prophetic fingerprints throughout history and standing firm in the confidence that heaven and earth will pass away, but His words never will.
