Colonel Grant Newsham and I discussed his reaction to Secretary of War Pete Hegseth's comments yesterday on those President Donald Trump at Quantico Marine Base, where they laid out a very different mindset from the immediate predecessors and the necessity for restoring the warrior ethos and preparing for war was underscored as powerfully as I think I've ever heard and I commend the the secretary especially, and hope that his message was taken aboard in the spirit in which it was meant, which is, let's roll.
