Modern Americans tend to have particular attitudes about race, ethnicity, and society. We are brought up to believe that all people no matter their race are creed are pretty much all the same. That’s a radically different attitude than that of our ancestors. How did this come about? Much credit is due to the anthropologist Franz Boas, whose fascinating and controversial career is chronicled in a 2019 book by Charles King. Don’t miss this show!
