SCRIPTURE READING FOR TODAY
Luke 18:1-8 NLT

Parable of the Persistent Widow One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up.
--
2 “There was a judge in a certain city,” he said, “who neither feared God nor cared about people.
--
3 A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, saying, ‘Give me justice in this dispute with my enemy.’
--
4 The judge ignored her for a while, but finally he said to himself, ‘I don’t fear God or care about people,
--
5 but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!’ ”
--
6 Then the Lord said, “Learn a lesson from this unjust judge.
--
7 Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?
--
8 I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?”

The Word of God To Meditate On Today
Luk 18:1-8 NLT "Pray and Don’t Lose Courage"

Five Major Lessons

Prayer Must Be Consistent: Jesus taught that we should always pray, not occasionally (Luke 18:1).

Persistence Prevails: The widow’s insistence moved even a hard-hearted judge (Luke 18:3–5).

Contrast of Justice: If an unjust judge answered, how much more will God, the righteous Judge, respond to His chosen ones (Luke 18:6–7).

Speed of God’s Intervention: God promises to bring justice quickly, though He may delay for growth and trust (Luke 18:8a).

Faith as the Anchor of Prayer: The real test is whether we will still be found faithful in prayer when Christ comes (Luke 18:8b).

Personal Supplication
Prayer Points:
1. Father, give me grace to pray consistently and not faint in challenges, in Jesus’ name.
📖 Hannah prayed consistently until God remembered her and gave her Samuel (1 Samuel 1:9–20).
--
2. Father, let my persistence in prayer provoke divine intervention in my life, in Jesus’ name.
📖 Elijah persisted in prayer for rain seven times until the cloud appeared (1 Kings 18:42–44).
--
3. Father, avenge me of every injustice and grant me victory where I have been wronged, in Jesus’ name.
📖 Mordecai and the Jews were avenged against Haman through God’s justice (Esther 7:9–10).
--
4. Father, let my prayers receive quick answers and turn delays into testimonies, in Jesus’ name.
📖 Peter was quickly delivered from prison by angelic intervention when the church prayed (Acts 12:5–11).
--
5. Father, strengthen my faith so I will be found standing in prayer and expectation when You return, in Jesus’ name.
📖 Abraham did not waver in unbelief but was strong in faith until he saw the promise fulfilled (Romans 4:20–21).

JESUS IS LORD!
