Yankees Player Flips into Red Sox Dugout to Make Acrobatic Catch in Series-Clinching Win
New York Yankees third baseman Ryan McMahon made an acrobatic Thursday night that saw him flip into the opposing dugout of the Boston Red Sox.

The Yankees and Red faced one another in the latest chapter of one of the most storied rivalries in all of sports. With their wildcard series tied at 1-1, the winner of the decisive Game 3 would go on to face the Toronto Blue Jays.

In the eighth inning, the Yankees held a commanding 4-0 lead thanks to a historic performance from rookie pitcher Cam Schlittler. With his 106th pitch of the game, Schlittler threw Red Sox left fielder Jarren Duran a high fastball. Duran’s bat was just under the ball, causing it to sky upward in foul territory. Tracking it all the way was McMahon, who sprinted toward the Red Sox dugout. Although McMahon managed to catch the ball to secure the second out of the inning, his momentum sent him over the railing and into the dugout.
