My name is Seti I, Pharaoh of Egypt from 1290 to 1279 BC. I was the son of Ramses I and the father of Ramses II. My reign was marked by restoring Egypt’s power after years of decline. I led campaigns into Canaan, Syria, and Libya to secure our borders and reestablish our empire. I also built great temples, including the magnificent one at Abydos, decorated with stories of the gods and my victories. Though my rule was not long, I left Egypt stronger, paving the way for my son’s greatness.
