The teen sitcom Archie Andrews was a direct adaptation of Bob Montana's highly successful comic strip. From May 31, 1943, until September 5, 1943, it was broadcast on NBC Blue at the time when comic character radio adaptations were popular. From 1944 until 1945, Mutual aired the program. Over 12 hours of programming, originally broadcast from November 6, 1948, to September 5, 1953.
