Biography
Kasey Howell is the proud mother of an adult son on the autism spectrum—her greatest inspiration and the driving force behind her lifelong commitment to advocacy, inclusion, and community engagement. She currently serves as President of the Autism Society San Diego’s Executive Board, where she leads a dedicated team focused on providing vital support, education, and connection for individuals with autism and their families.

Driven by a strong belief in the power of community, Kasey works collaboratively with board members, staff, volunteers, and local partners to advance the organization's mission: connecting people with the resources they need through advocacy, education, support, and inclusive programming.

Under her leadership, the Autism Society San Diego continues to grow and thrive, offering impactful programs such as The Ask Line, Camp iCAN, Surf Camp, Camp AWARE, Family Camps and monthly Pool & Dance Parties. Each of these initiatives is designed to build confidence, foster meaningful experiences, and ensure that every child, teen, and adult feels seen, supported, and included.

Looking ahead to 2025, the organization is committed to expanding these programs to reach even more families throughout San Diego County. As the Autism Society celebrates its 60th year of service, Kasey invites the community to join in recognizing the incredible impact made—and to participate in the continued growth, connection, and celebration of the neurodiverse community in the years to come.
