Big Block Modifieds at Knoxville

A National career race at Knoxville Raceway on Expert difficulty. The track surface is a choppy and can upset the car. There is a good amount of room for maneuvering around traffic. The track does get a little slick below the cushion after Qualifying, but keeps the speed. Very momentum based track, so keeping smooth and not kicking the car out helps a lot. I find the bottom fastest all night, but if you can be smooth and consistent on the top, it can be very close. I find it easy to slip over the cushion into the marbles, tightening the car up and sliding into the wall.

A very good race with 1 red flag. On lap 18 Marc Johnson made contact with Abby King, sending King flipping end over end. Barnes was able to make repairs and continue the race to score more show points. Generally traffic navigation was great this race. I did tap a couple cars. During the last 5 laps I tried being really smooth on the top side, but kept getting tight and sliding up into the wall. Overall the race was very good.
