In the Middle East, Abu Dhabi investment giant IHC backs L2 Chain for a dirham-backed stablecoin. Meanwhile, a dark comedy TV pilot inspired by Argentina’s Libra scandal raises $150K, as blockchain prepares to host native stablecoins backed by Ethena and BlackRock’s tokenized fund.

Turning to central banks, the Bank of England governor signals that stablecoins could reduce reliance on banks, opening the door for wider adoption. At the same time, Tether CTO Paolo Ardoino unveils a demo of its new wallet-building kit, which he says could power billions of wallets. And in a quick security update, BNB Chain’s X account was restored after a hack — with only $13K lost.

On the corporate front, Chainlink teams up with Deutsche Börse to bring market data on-chain, while Tether partners with Rumble to drive USAT adoption in the U.S. Meanwhile, the Blockchain Association is urging Congress to cooperate as a government shutdown looms.
