ℹ️Great family movie, though some parents may want to restrict viewing to older children due to mild bad language (see notes below). The film is not geared toward the youngest children; however, mature children may enjoy it without getting bored and can likely handle some content, such as the mild profanity and scenes depicting a father’s aggression toward his son. The father-son and family relationships are also a key part of the movie’s overall message.

Bad Language Includes:
1) 36 min 30 sec - Ass
2) 58 min - Ass

Plot:
The Senior (2025) is a heartfelt sports drama based on the true story of Mike Flynt, a 59-year-old construction boss and grandfather who, in 2007, returns to his alma mater, Sul Ross State University in Texas, to complete his long-overdue senior year of eligibility. Nearly four decades earlier, Flynt was kicked off the college football team as a promising linebacker and captain after punching a teammate in a fit of rage. Haunted by regrets over fractured family ties, lost teammates (some deceased), and an unfinished legacy, he convinces skeptical head coach Sam Weston to let him try out as a walk-on among much younger players. Facing grueling practices, physical tolls, age-related doubts, and emotional reckonings, including mending bonds with his supportive wife Eileen and reflecting on life's "what ifs", Flynt fights for a chance to play in a real game.

Characters:
Mike Flynt (Michael Chiklis): The 59-year-old protagonist, a determined, pugnacious grandfather and ex-linebacker seeking redemption on the football field.
Eileen Flynt (Mary Stuart Masterson): Mike’s loyal, supportive wife; provides emotional grounding amid his quest.
Coach Sam Weston (Rob Corddry): The pragmatic head football coach at Sul Ross State; initially skeptical but grows to respect Mike’s grit.
Eddie (Brandon Flynn): A key young teammate; helps bridge generational gaps and forms a mentorship bond with Mike.
Perry Flynt (James Badge Dale): Mike’s estranged brother; represents unresolved family tensions from the past.
Additional Teammates (Various, e.g., Shawn Patrick Clifford): College players in their 20s; a mix of doubters and allies who challenge and cheer Mike during tryouts.
