Today will be fairly similar to yesterday with highs back in the low- to mid-30s with mostly cloudy skies. We may see a light wintry mix late in the afternoon and evening. You will notice that wind picking up out of the southwest around 10-15 gusting to 20 MPH in the afternoon. Wednesday will be a little cooler with highs in the low-20s under mostly sunny skies to partly cloudy skies. Still, this is close to average for this time of year. Wednesday night, clouds will be on the increase with lows around 10. There is a weak system that is going to move across the area on Thursday. A few flurries or a little light snow will be possible, but it looks to be minor if anything. Highs will be in the upper-20s. The coldest air of the season arrives behind this arctic front going into the weekend. It appears that temperatures will remain well below normal going into the second half of January. We could even dip a little below zero heading into Sunday night. And it's going to be windy going right through the weekend just to add insult to injury. Whatever. We're due for weather like this.
