John Kennedy Demolishes Climate "Expert" Without Trying

An "expert" witness on climate change befools himself at the US Senate in a hilarious exchange. Louisiana Senator John Kennedy asks the most basic questions like "who invited you?" and "what is carbon dioxide?" and the witness, Olympic cross country skier Gus Schumacher, reveals himself to be completely ignorant on basic climate science, complaining that he only graduated from high school. Despite having prepared for the meeting with the climate advocacy group "Protect Our Winters ", Schumacher admits to Kennedy that he has no clue about the cost, time frame, or effects on the weather of any Net Zero goals that he supports. The 23-year old claims to be an expert at climate change, because he noticed changes in the landscape during his brief career as a professional skier. Kennedy then reads 3 of Schumacher's tweets about race relations, revealing Schumacher as a radical "Abolish-the-Police" supporter espousing a conspiracy theory about the war on drugs being engineered only as a pretext to incarcerate Blacks. The video then reacts to a news report of the exchange in which Nathaniel Herz of Northern Journal actually defends Schumacher's performance. It's a fine example of an activist journalist doing backflips to defend the climate catastrophe narrative.
