Trump’s military deployment order sparks massive protests in Portland | US Immigration Crackdown

Dozens of protesters gathered in Portland after US President Donald Trump announced plans to deploy US military forces to the Democratic-led city. On September 28, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered 200 Oregon National Guard troops to be deployed under federal authority, even as the state of Oregon filed a lawsuit to block the move. Trump argued the troops were needed to protect federal immigration facilities and authorised them to use 'full force if necessary.'
