In today’s episode we carry on spreading the word about Botox Injury.

In Part 6 of this series, I am joined by an amazing woman from the UK, Victoria, who barely made it through her final Botox experience.

Botox was something Victoria did semi annually for 25 years. Not once did she experience any side affects or negative outcomes in all those years until just before her 50th birthday.

Due to this fact, she decided to get a little more than her usual spots and go for a little more since she was headed on a trip soon and since she wasn’t informed truly of what happened, she did not see any issue to go ahead with the treatment.

Shortly after her apt, she stating experiencing numbness and blurred vision. Slowly more and more symptoms kept happening to the point she decided to go into the doctors.

In passing she had mentioned she had Botox & luckily this doctor knew immediately she needed to get to the hospital as she was experiencing botulism. The amount of people in the UK that know about this is very rare, so this man truly saved her life.

After 12 hours of being in the hospital, she received the anti toxin and started her recovery path.

A long one that involved being in the hospital for a week, a feeding tube for 3 months and the need for a speech theorist to learn how to talk again among other things.

Luckily Victoria was able to heal enough to still go on her trip for her birthday, she has a new found appreciation for life & was able to educate a lot of people in her area (specially in a medical school nearby) what can happen with Botox.

I’m so grateful these strong women come on the show and share their stories so less people maybe have to go through this or go through it alone ❤️

Everyone who has experienced this is more than happy to help support so make sure to ask the questions, be open to others experiences and always lead with compassion when navigating this space.

Victoria’s body was being poisoned slowly and made it very close to her lungs and heart. It’s a serious thing that can happen and we just want you to be aware. Real stories not rare stories 🫶🏻
