Democrat Chuck 'Shutdown' Schumer Needs To Listen To His Much Wiser Self From 1996

Instead of fighting for a government shutdown to get taxpayer money to pay for illegal alien healthcare, the Schumer of 30 years ago would ask, ‘What are you doing, Chuck?’ Here’s Schumer back in 1996. —— Chuck Schumer rails against illegals getting taxpayer-funded benefits because it incentivizes more illegal immigration: “People say, why can't you stop illegal immigrants from coming here?" - “The number one answer we give our constituents is when they come here, they can get jobs, get benefits against the law because of fraud." Chuck is now threatening to shut down the government over illegals getting taxpayer-funded healthcare. —— What happened to that guy? Both Vice President JD Vance and Elon Musk are rhetorically asking the same thing. Both know why he changed his tune.

And once Democrats realized they needed new voters because their ideas aren’t nationally popular. Some kind of weird coincidence that's for sure - almost like they realized that could cheat more easily. Huh. Yes, isn’t that strange? Democrats need new voters to push their destructive vision for America forward. Now in 2025, he’s the one holding the government hostage to give illegals more benefits. What changed? Not the facts, only his party’s desperation for new voters. Proof Democrats abandoned working Americans for open-borders globalism. Which is exactly why they spent four years throwing the border open to millions of illegals in hopes of permanently changing Congressional apportionment. Leaders should defend citizens first.
