There are only hours left until the polling stations open and His Majesty the Voter gets the chance to express his opinion. Over the last month, everyone has been competing to butter each other up and make threats about what will happen if... The parties of the ruling National Front, in particular, have been acting like saints on the astronomical clock, especially in their threats. The entire X was flooded with their scare tactics every day. And not only them. Their journalistic cesspool also competed to see who could come up with the biggest bogeyman and scare voters the most, so that they would cast their votes only for the current new National Front.
And everyone ostentatiously ignored the ongoing trial of the actors in the Mayors' Affair, known as Dozimetr. The mainstream media reported snippets from the courtroom and the lobby, but no one thought that this was a fundamental problem for our political scene. It turns out that the Mayors movement was created as a front for laundering money from corruption. The cooperating suspect Kos admitted that the entire movement was largely financed by corrupt money. And the movement's chairman, Vít Rakušan, still claims that everything happened behind his back. Here, his ignorance borders on mental disorder. After all, his behavior convinces us that he knows nothing else but to betray anyone he meets. The naive Pirates recognized this, and only Fiala's naivety failed to reveal that it is Rakušan who is doing everything he can to betray Fiala and his National Front.
In the election campaign, the old slogan applies – No one will give you more than I promise you – but distorting the statements of other parties does not belong here. National Front politicians in particular excel at this. From the fact that Babiš wants to abandon the current ammunition initiative based on procuring expired and poor-quality, yet overpriced ammunition, which is financed only by some NATO members and most of all by us, as one of the poorest, and to switch to truly effective purchases with the participation of all Alliance countries, they have twisted this into an effort to destroy the entire ammunition initiative and thus help the Kremlin.
The current, and I hope soon former, prime minister, in his despair over internal party election polls, is spouting one piece of nonsense after another. The most bizarre was his statement that if Babiš wins, Putin will call him and Babiš will invite tanks to Prague. And he killed the argument that it is still more advantageous for Babiš to be in Errorunia by saying that Babiš will calmly abandon his Western business and reorient himself towards Russia. This is really something that warrants hospitalization in a psychiatric ward.
This time, the Constitutional Court acted constitutionally and rejected a complaint by a group calling itself Volt that Stačilo and SPD are hidden coalitions. This means that you can vote for these parties without fear. Your votes will only go to them if there are enough of you to exceed the electoral quorum.
Government politicians are trying to convince us that society is doing well and getting even better. Society may be, but individual citizens don't seem to understand this. Especially when they look in their wallets and at the cost of living. It is also strange that society is doing well, but food banks are struggling to keep up because pensioners and single mothers are going there for basic foodstuffs. Society is doing well, but we have to collect money for lunches and breakfasts for some children. Society is doing well, but under this government, the number of people eligible for housing allowances has grown. Even pensioners are doing well, which is why collections of firewood are organized for them.
A new state aid system called "super benefit" is to come into effect on October 1. However, no one knows how it will be calculated yet, as there is no calculator. Why is it missing? If we overlook all of Jurečka's excuses, it is absolutely clear that the actual calculation will affect many potential voters of the Spolu sect. And very unpleasantly so. So we'd better wait with the calculator so that these people don't realize that the super benefit is just another scam and a way to rob citizens.
So it would be good if His Majesty the Voter made his decision based on the actual state of his account and his options, and did not allow himself to be fooled and frightened by the current New National Front. We know how the National Front has operated since 1948 and since 2021. It has not been a great success for our economy.
