Airline Onward Ticket Scam - Traveler Skills 🇳🇮 🇨🇷

Costa Rica's requirement for an onward ticket or return ticket makes those traveling to Nicaragua prime targets for false claims that Nicaragua requires the same. 99% of gringos don't confidently know this is false and even if they do, there's no consumer protections so nothing that they can do about it. They are trapped. So airlines commonly pull this scam because it's nearly impossible to prove, definitely impossible to prosecute and you are at their mercy. So knowing what the scam is, and what to do about it is very important for any international traveler.
