In the last 24 hours, President Trump has ushered in a major peace deal, taken on drug prices, instituted AI-related research to end children's cancer, and spoke to the generals and admirals about his expectations, etc. During the same 24 hours, the Democrats have insisted they will shut down the government. That says it all! But 83% of the government never actually shuts down. What actually stops during shutdowns are the visible public services.
