US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has told a meeting of America's top generals that there will be an overhaul of the military, including a return to 'male-level fitness standards' and a review of what constitutes toxic leadership.

Officials were called in from deployments around the world for the address at Quantico, Virginia. Hegseth spoke at length about the need for an overhaul of the US military, declaring an end to what he called 'ideological garbage', and promotions based on race or gender. Hegseth warned that anyone who was worried about his approach should resign.
