Cappadocia is mentioned twice in the New Testament, the first is Acts 2:5-13 and the second by the Apostle Peter in 1 Peter 1:1. We will also visit Hattusa, the Capital of the Hittite Empire. Scholars who doubted biblical history declared that there was no evidence for the Hittite nation and held that the Old Testament was unreliable. However, in the last few years of the nineteenth century, archaeologists discovered the city of Hattusa in north-central Turkey, uncovering thousands of cuneiform tablets and a civilization that spanned much of Turkey and extended into the Middle East. The Hittite kingdom held sway from the middle of the 17th century through the 12th century, with its greatest influence during the 14th century. Join us live at 8:00 PM Central time.
