Hello, everyone, and welcome to the studio! Have you ever been in the middle of a painting and run out of black paint? Are you an artist who wants to work with a limited palette? Would you like to save money in the long run on paint? In this video, I demonstrate how to mix your own black paint using the three primary colors. I also show how to make a black that is very similar to Midnight Black.

*There is one correction that I need to make: in the video, I say that Alizarin Crimson and Thalo Green make a brown color. That is incorrect. It is Alizarin Crimson and Sap Green that make a brown color.*

The recipes for the colors are: (measurements are approximate)
Generic Black- Blue, Yellow, and Red in about equal parts
Midnight Black- 60% Alizarin Crimson and 40% Thalo Green

I receive no commissions on any products or brands mentioned or shown in this video. I also do not endorse, nor am I endorsed by, any brands or products shown in this video.
