GEFNFL 48th Season Week 3

[Week 3 9/27/2025]

Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to the 48th season of the GE Friday Night Football League! (Note for those who are new and don't know: the "GE" part of the name is just where this league originated from and has nothing to do with the actual company itself.) With that out of the way, let's get this game started!

It was a bit overcast, with a slight breeze keeping the mosquitoes away. This was definitely the biggest game of the year so far, with enough players to start off with a 9 vs. 9 game and one person rotating on the Red Team. It eventually went to a full 10 vs. 10 game toward the fourth quarter once our oldest player, Gary (who is 70), showed up to play.

The Red Team started off with the ball and made a good drive down the field, but they were stopped around the 2-yard line. The Blue Team then made a quick strike back downfield with a pass from Dave to Nick, scoring the first touchdown of the night. The Red Team answered that touchdown with a long drive and a touchdown pass from Tony to Tyler. Unfortunately, this was their first and only touchdown of the night, because the Blue Team continued to dominate the field for the rest of the night—with an impressive drive by Paul ending with a pass to Nick, who used one hand to scoop that ball in for their second touchdown.

The Blue Team continued to dominate the field, not letting the Red Team score anything despite the Red Team's attempts to score. Even our new rookie player, Dillon, who drove 2 hours to come play, had an impressive drive, with one deep pass to Jose and then scoring a touchdown off of a double-tipped endzone play into the hands of Austin.

Overall, this game turned out to be another awesome one for the GEFNFL's 48th season.
