In this episode of RT’s Sanchez Effect in the Russian city of Sochi, Rick hosts a discussion panel with experts from around the globe and follows up the debate with more speakers under the heavy rain - but it's actually the unipolar world that's under the weather. Tehran University professor Seyed Mohammad Marandi says Russian-Iranian ties are closer than ever before - as the Islamic Republic became a member of BRICS, thanks to the Western pressure and sanctions that ‘are like war, constantly waged on Iran’. University of South-Eastern Norway professor Glenn Diesen says Donald Trump has done the same with India – pushing it closer to China and Russia with tariffs, adding that ‘the best way to go is to diversify’. And Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul professor Fabiano Mielniczuk says that, despite Brazil's good ties with the U.S., it has been pressured by the White House; and as it can’t trust America, it must become less dependent on it - and boosting BRICS co-operation is the way to achieve that.
