New national record: Russian pilots raised a balloon to an altitude of over 10.5 km in the Altai Territory

"On August 29, 2025, at 07:11 Barnaul time, 76 minutes after takeoff, Fedor Konyukhov and Ivan Menyaylo reached 10,678 m and broke the national altitude record for a hot air balloon," the Konyukhov Telegram channel reports.

It is noted that at the moment the record was set, the balloon was moving at a speed of 62 km/h.
