Super Mario Bros. 3 is a 1988 video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It was released in North America on February 12, 1990. Super Mario Bros. 3 introduced iconic features like the world map, unique power-ups such as the Tanooki Suit, and the Koopalings as bosses. It was the first game to feature the enemy Boo and allowed Mario to slide. The game was a massive commercial success, selling over 17 million copies on the NES alone and becoming one of the best-selling games of all time.
