AOTR Elevates Dallas ICE Facility Victims

Authors of The Resistance is amplifying the call for justice for three ICE detainees shot in Dallas, Texas, on the morning of September 24. As two transport vans arrived at the detention facility, a sniper opened fire from a nearby rooftop. The detainees—Jose Andres Bordones-Molina, Norlan Guzman-Fuentes, and Miguel Angel Garcia-Hernandez—were struck by gunfire. One died of his wounds. Garcia-Hernandez remains in critical condition after multiple surgeries. The shooter, identified as 29-year-old Joshua Jahn, died of a self-inflicted gunshot as agents approached.

This was not random violence: it was a targeted act against vulnerable people in federal custody. The sniper’s bullets reportedly carried an anti-ICE message, yet the system’s response has focused more on the victims’ criminal records than their humanity. The Department of Homeland Security released their names and histories, but not the name of the deceased. This selective transparency is a tactic of erasure.

We demand full accountability, clarity, and protection for all detainees. Their lives are not disposable. Their stories will not be buried beneath bureaucratic silence.
