Martin Griffiths, former UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, joins Al Jazeera's live from New York. He said Netanyahu’s UN speech offered no sign of peace but rather conditions for a continuing war, calling it 'an affront to the international conscience.' Griffiths stressed that while public speeches at the General Assembly show political positions, the real negotiations are happening behind closed doors.

Meanwhile, Al Jazeera’s Hamdah Salhut joins live from Amman. She's there because the Israeli government has banned Al Jazeera from reporting from Israel and the occupied West Bank. Also Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud joins live from Al Nuseirat in central Gaza.
