Here’s Why Keir Starmer’s U.K. Digital ID Is Dangerous!

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s has announced that a new free digital ID will be mandatory to work in the United Kingdom by the end of the current parliament. Critics argue the policy mirrors authoritarian measures, comparing it to China’s digital ID system and warning it could lead to loss of freedoms, surveillance, and social credit–style control.

Jimmy points out that figures from across the political spectrum, including Jeremy Corbyn and Nigel Farage, as well as NHS nurses, publicly oppose the plan as an assault on civil liberties. He and Americans’ Comedian Kurt Metzger conclude that the digital ID scheme is less about immigration control and more about consolidating state power over citizens’ daily lives.
