Slow Cooking Crock Pot BBQ Ribs
We love to eat baby back ribs here on the #BBQRandoRanch and tonight we are going to Slow Cook our ribs in a Crock Pot! Easy to do and we have the recipe below for you and also on BBQRando.com with many other recipes and demos! ENJOY!
Slow Cooking / Crock Pot BBQ Ribs
We at the BBQ Rando Ranch love to eat BBQ baby back ribs but there are times when we are so busy with our chores we don’t use the smoker. We cook them in a Slow Cooker or Crock Pot. It is so simple and you will love the results. Below is what you need!
Ingredients
1 rack of baby back ribs
1 16-18 ounce bottle of your favorite BBQ sauce
Optional: We also add some McCormicks Montreal Steak seasoning on it for a little extra flavor
Instructions
Remove the membrane from the back of the baby back ribs. This will make them much more tender.
Cut the ribs into two rib portions. You can cut them into single rib portions if you prefer.
Place ribs inside the Slow Cooker / Crock Pot and add the seasoning and then cover the ribs evenly with the bbq sauce.
Add the cover and then set the temperature for “Low” and the timer for 8 hours.
Note: If you are in a rush you can cook the ribs on “High” for 4-6 hours but the meat will have a little tug when you bite. We prefer “fall off the bone ribs!” You like what you like!
Last Optional Step - Caramelize the ribs
After the desired cooking time, place the ribs onto a foil-lined baking sheet.
Turn on your oven to the “Broil” setting and position your oven rack below.
Broil for only 3-5 minutes to prevent burning the ribs.
Add some awesome side dishes and you have a great family meal!
