The Sword of the Spirit

In this testimony from my first week as a Christian, I was confronted by a terrifying demonic presence. I was fully awake when I saw and heard them mocking me. In that moment of fear, I cried out to God — and the Holy Spirit spoke to me audibly: ‘Pick up your sword.’

At the time, I didn’t know the Bible was called the sword of the Spirit. Later I discovered Ephesians 6:10–17, where Paul describes the Armor of God — and I realized what I experienced was the reality of spiritual warfare.

This is my story of learning firsthand that God equips His children to stand against the enemy.
