Atonement Day 2025 - You’re Fooling Yourself, A Self-Destructin’ Man

Atone today - October 1, 2025 at sunset. Afflict yourself, perhaps a fast for 24 hours, and do no work. Today is the day to choose which Alahim you will serve.

Yahuah commanded the Day of Atonement - Yom Kippurim - as a law forever. A day to stop work, humble our souls, and be cleansed from all sin. Not religion. Not tradition. A direct command, like “Do not murder.” One of the Ten Commandments is to keep the Sabbath - not just weekly, but all of the Sabbaths Yahuah appointed.
Isaiah 58 shows the fast Yahuah chooses: not empty hunger, but breaking chains, undoing burdens, setting captives free. And Yahusha Himself said, “Whoever does and teaches these commands shall be called great in the Kingdom” (Matthew 5:19). He paid the price, but He also kept every Sabbath and feast - showing us the way.
And now a question that pierces deeper:
Are you a murderer? A predator? A trafficker of sex or drugs, legal or illegal? Do you beat your wife or your children? Do you live a double life - smiling in public while serving darkness in secret? Do you take bribes, betray trust, or represent the interests of the corrupt instead of what is good and right?
The world itself sings of the truth:
The Kinks said, “There’s a time device inside of me, I’m a self-destructin’ man.”
Styx said, “You’re fooling yourself, and you don’t believe it.”
Bob Dylan admitted he made a deal and later cried out for truth. Even Anton LaVey, founder of the Church of Satan, reportedly confessed regret with his last breath. The devil always sells lies, but Yahuah’s door of mercy stays open.
So why wait until your deathbed to see real life? Why gamble on “one last chance” while living enslaved to guilt and fear? Long suffering, even sickness, can be Yahuah’s severe mercy to bring us back. But His call is now:
“Choose you this day whom you will serve.” (Joshua 24:15)
Atonement Day is the Door. Walk through it. Trust in Yahuah with all your heart.
