After all the over-the-top religion at State Farm Stadium, I couldn’t help but notice how many people jump the shark with their need for self-righteousness and witnessing. What struck me wasn’t faith — it was frenzy.

In this episode, I explore the difference between faith as personal conviction and faith as public theater. We’ll dive into freedom of conscience, the danger of moral policing, why self-righteousness is a cult of self-destruction, and how even scripture warns against turning prayer into performance.

And we’ll tackle the claim that America was founded as a “Christian nation.” That isn’t history — that’s agenda. The Founders protected freedom of conscience, not uniformity of belief.

Religion, politics, or ideology — the pattern is the same. When conscience becomes coercion, the center rots. The alternative is simple: freedom of conscience, freedom of choice, and accountability of outcomes. That’s where integrity lives.
