Reconciliation That Matter

And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.
Malachi 4:6

The book of Malachi is the last book of the Old Testament and the end of an era of sorts in regards to the law and yet it also gives new hope of the new age of grace through faith that's about to unfold in the era of the New Testament.

God in his great wisdom has charged Malachi to reconcile the truths of the law of the fathers and to instruct the children to build forthemselves a solid foundation of wisdom to which God can bring about his next phase of grace through his son Jesus the coming Messiah resulting in a future completion and reconciliation of old and new.

In our current timeline, there is a seriously dangerous divide between fathers and their children. The role of a father in the lives of his children is nearly non-existent these days resulting in unrest and outright rebellion that has negatively impacted society as a whole resulting in the breakdown of the family unit that contributes to the greater sins and woes of the world.

God could have chosen to redeem the world himself and be completely justified in doing so and yet he chose to give that responsibility to his only son Jesus to humbly carry out his plan of forgiveness and restoration.

We should glean from his example and respond likewise in training our children to discover for themselves a faith in God through Christ so that they can become future ambassadors and messengers of hope to a world that is lost and dying.

Train up a child in the way he should go: And when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6

If we desire to assist in rescuing the world from the coming righteous judgment of God we must teach our children the amazing grace of Jesus Christ so they can continue the task that was started long ago.
