Sonny the Snowball is in pain.

He could do nothing but watch his friend die of a heroin overdose: a slow, harrowing and painful death.

So Sonny confides in a vagrant - Gerry the Dosser. Gerry is great fun, but he exacerbates Sonny's addictions.

Then, Sonny meets a desperate and off-colour prostitute called Sally. He falls deeply in love with her.

But when the notorious gangster, Billy the Bandit (aka Supergrass) finds Sally's business card in a phone box, he takes her hostage.

Now, Billy the Bandit wants retribution. He wants compensation. Sonny the Snowball owes him money, and Supergrass is not renowned for kindness.

Meanwhile, in the dosspark, something eerie lurks in the shadows - and it ain't no man. It is the devil. People are vanishing, and nobody knows what is taking them.

Nobody but Sonny the Snowball, that is.
