When we became involved in 2009, spending hundreds of hours learning about politics, we determined which topics of training had the quickest and most positive effect on us. Back then, I made copies of CDs and DVDs, and handed them out in a package of 3. We gave these to those we felt had good promise, and the topics provided a foundation to help them move forward.

We call these trainings ‘Steps’. There are 3 steps:

Step 1: “The Four Lost American Ideals” by Oliver DeMille
Step 2: “Overview of America” by the John Birch Society, and
Step 3: “Agenda - Grinding America Down” by Idaho State Representative Curtis Bowers.

BACK STORY:

In 2009, I was a ‘thin stand’ Ron Paul supporter who knew nothing about politics. I knew that I loved Rush Limbaugh and that I hated those whose presence caused the hair on my arms to stand up; Johnson, Nixon, Ford (weak), Carter, HW Bush, Reagan (weak), Clinton, GW Bush, and Obama (the terrible). Romney was bad, McCain was worse – they were so bad they really got me to start paying attention. What was it about these people that brought up feelings of disdain?

In 2009, due to outside circumstances, my attention turned away from our business, and I started watching local TV news. At that time, a Spokane initiative had made it to the ballot; it was called “Spokane Community Bill of Rights,” proposed by a group called “Envision Spokane”. The Bill of Rights sought to provide affordable healthcare, affordable housing, a healthful environment; including that the Spokane River and Aquifer have “enforceable rights” to be clean! And there were several other inconceivable ‘rights’ in the initiative that were approved to be on the next ballot election. I remember looking at Cecily and saying, “Who the hell is going to pay for this?!!”

That very day, I Googled “Ron Paul, Spokane”, found their online Meetup group, signed up, and two days later, met Rob Chase, and a couple of days after that, John Christina. Thankfully, these men are our kind of people.

They directed us to many different group meetings and different videos to teach us what we needed to know. It was not long until we were fully enrolled in working toward ‘Saving our Republic’.

That was a bit over 15 years ago; a lot of water under the bridge has swept by. But we know that in order to help people new to politics, there are certain trainings that we feel are the key to unlocking their innermost feelings to learn what happened to America that caused it to change, and where it is going today. From that foundation, you, like us, will be more likely to find your way and discover what it is that you can do to make a difference and contribute to “Make America Great Again”.
