AG Pam Bondi was asked about whether the DOJ was targeting Soros funded groups, to which she responded with the standard no comment, but added, “everything is on the table now.”

But then President Trump chimed in:

“I don’t think anybody has to ask, because if you look at Soros, he’s at the top of every (organization)…In fact, sometimes I say how could he be involved in this many things. But he’s in every story that I read. Stories that I read keep talking about Soros. So… I guess he’d be a likely candidate.”

Generalstaatsanwältin Pam Bondi wurde gefragt, ob das Justizministerium Gruppen ins Visier nimmt, die von Soros finanziert werden, worauf sie mit dem üblichen "kein Kommentar" antwortete, aber hinzufügte: „Jetzt steht alles auf dem Tisch.“

Doch dann meldete sich Präsident Trump zu Wort:

„Ich glaube nicht, dass irgendjemand fragen muss, denn wenn man sich Soros anschaut, steht er an der Spitze jeder (Organisation)... Tatsächlich frage ich mich manchmal, wie er in so viele Dinge involviert sein kann. Aber er ist in jeder Geschichte, die ich lese. Geschichten, die ich lese, sprechen immer wieder über Soros. Also... ich schätze, er wäre ein wahrscheinlicher Kandidat.“
