Just Birds?

NEXRAD reported massive amounts of bird migrations the last two nights, but the radar distribution and flow of those "migrations" don't seem to match those indicated by bird migration sites. The Universe was asked if the official explanation of those unusual radar rights was accurate or is there more going on, as alt. media chatter thinks?
