PIPS Stage 5 9.24.25

This was likely the best run stage of the year for me. I have CRVO (Central Retinal Vein Occlusion) from a clot during the magical Covid Times and that pushed me back into shooting as most other sports/hobbies I enjoyed were no longer safe with vision shifting from 20/300 to 20/800 or worse in the bad eye depending upon the day. I proved to myself over the last 16 months that I could achieve a mid level competitive standing in local USPSA matched despise the vision issues and being middle aged and out of shape. This stage I had a solid stage plan and executed on it with solid mental focus. I should have pushed the first shot on steel about a half second sooner and I dropped my gun too much coming out of the first window, but overall I was ecstatic about the results.

15th overall, 4th on Stage (1 GM Open, 1 M Limited Optics, 1 M PCC ahead of me but I was within 1 point and 2.25 seconds of the GM winner)
