This one hurts… 🚪 taking a good tenant back to ⚖️ court for unpaid rent 😔

Today I’m taking a tenant back to court. And this one’s tough — she’s been a good tenant overall, but life hit her hard and she hasn’t been able to keep up with rent.

Unfortunately, the homeowner isn’t willing to bend when it comes to not receiving rent payments. And at the end of the day, that’s their right. They still have a mortgage and expenses tied to this property, and they’re counting on those payments.

So the process continues:

📝 The tenant has now been given 10 days to either vacate the property or file an appeal.

⏳ If she does neither, then the next step is a forced eviction with the Sheriff’s Department — where the police will come to escort her off the property and change the locks.

💡 Why this matters in property management:

Evictions aren’t always about “bad tenants” — sometimes it’s good people in bad situations.

As property managers, we balance compassion with duty. Our job is to protect the homeowner’s investment while navigating the human side of the business.

This is why documentation, timelines, and consistent processes are so important — they keep everything legal, professional, and clear.

👉 It’s never easy seeing someone lose their home, but property management requires tough calls. We hope she finds a solution — but if not, the legal process will play out.

Let’s Get to Work! Let’s Go! 💪
