Secrets of Israel's Nuclear Program revealed...by Israel?

On Wednesday this week, Iranian TV published footage and information about Israel’s nuclear program which is allegedly part of a treasure trove of documents the IRGC obtained from Israelis who are part of Israel’s security establishment or work themselves in Israel’s nuclear program.

The Iranian ministry of Intelligence claimed that the overwhelming majority of this information was provided to Iran willingly and without any coercion. They stated that the two main motivations for passing this highly sensitive information to Israel’s most sworn enemy were twofold:

1. Hatred towards Netanyahu and his policies; and
2. Greed. Those Israelis were simply paid for the information they furnished.

Yesterday (Thursday), it seems like Israel responded to this publication but the response is a bit bizarre and I struggle to understand its objective so maybe you have an idea.

Israel’s public broadcaster Kan (“here” in Hebrew) aired a report in its main evening news bulletin about a “recruitment event” that took place at a bar in the southern city of Be’er-Sheva (Israel’s fourth-most populous city) which was attended by senior staff from the Nuclear Research Facility (NRF) in Dimona and several dozen young Israelis who were interested in learning more about what it’s like to work there.

Here is the catch though:

The Kan reporter ‘infiltrated’ the event with a hidden camera and filmed the proceedings, although the faces of all the participants are blurred.

As a reminder: Kan is Israel’s public Broadcaster, not some independent media or some intrepid investigative reporter.

It is extremely unlikely they will do something like that without running this first by Israeli ‘authorities’ and either way:

There is ZERO chance the Israeli censor’s office will allow this to go to air…not to mention uploaded to YouTube for all to see (Kan didn’t even apply any geofencing which they sometimes do to various content on their YT channel when it’s intended to only be viewed from inside Israel) without the Netanyahu Junta being ‘in on it’ so to speak.

This leads me to believe that this is indeed an intentional response to the publications in Iranian media, especially given these publications are actually mentioned during Kan’s report.

However, I am struggling to understand the LOGIC behind this specific response.

Have a look at the Kan report (which is provided in full and without any edits except English subtitles) and let me know if you can think of anything.
