In the pages of mythology there are three women that are the keepers of all knowledge of whom gods and men alike feared. Their words and choices were final. The Norns were respected by all, the 3 women that we know as the Norns are Urd, Verdandi and Skuld. There were an untold number of Norns though according to some sources.
