a 1989 horror film directed by Brian Yuzna. The plot follows a teenager named Bill, who lives with his wealthy parents and sister in Beverly Hills. He begins to suspect that his family is part of a gruesome cult made up of the social elite. The cult members can mutate their forms in anatomically impossible ways and literally feed on the lower classes.
The film was shot in California in 1988. It screened at the 1989 Cannes Film Festival but went unreleased in the United States until 1992. Since its release, the film has garnered a cult following and is regarded as influential in body horror.
